Filming complete ‘After School Club’
On Wednesday, as you know, I was out filming with the crew. It was awesome. The day started at 8am, meeting the main crew at our offices: the Director, DOP, Producers etc. I prepped all the equipment the night before so we flew off quickly after a quick meeting. Everyone seemed nice, even at cock-a-doodle-doo hours of the morning. We got to the location, and I started to take equipment to the shoot location which was the ‘Pug’s Hole’ woods/park. A nice location to film, but an easy one to slip over in, as you’ll read in the risk assessment I put up before this post. After taking all the relevant equipment down, we started filming. As the day went on, I continued to help extremely well with all equipment, setting it up, taking it down, and generally running for each and every person. The picture below shows the team controlling the rig, with me helping with the balancing. Just FYI, it took 3 hours for me to put together in the office, but 10 minutes to do it in the forest. Practice makes perfect. The day ended at around 8pm, and everyone worked so well. The actresses were nice and bubbly, and we all had a good laugh at times. All together it was a great day, a great experience and a good learning curve. I hope there are more days like this to come.
